Hollow-core composite is an extremely light and durable material. It is well suited to a wide range of applications where the criteria include light weight, durability, moldability, insulation, maintenance-free operation and long service life.

Hollow-core composite structures can be used in a huge variety of applications. Components made from it are used in, among other things, trains, crew transport wagons, battery boxes, hatches for massive machinery and even lamp posts.

KOME makes use of the possibilities offered by hollow-core composite in, among other things, peat/wood chip transport products, and now also, as a new addition, in platform products.

KOME COMPOSITE cargo containers are significantly lighter than traditional solutions. Their impact/collision strength is likewise significantly better. The body’s end walls, side walls and floor form a single continuous structure with no joints. This structure guarantees a long service life. The LCA analysis is better than for a traditional structure.

The structure of KOME COMPOSITE is thermally insulating, which substantially reduces freezing problems. They are also easy to equip.
